We support the states of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and the District Of Columbia for individuals (members and non-members) who wish to learn about, participate in, and network with the Data Center Community. There are a number of ways to participate with our Chapter – we typically have four meetings per year (one per quarter) and are always looking for help with our various committees that support these events. If you are interested please send an e mail to me or the Events team listed on the website.
Additionally, we have engaged in an internship program that provides undergraduate engineering students with exposure to the data center business. Our first student worked for the Potomac Chapter in 2018, and our Board has teamed up with VCU and Herndon High School. We will be continuing this annually to help introduce and hopefully drive young engineers into the data center space. Current members enjoy attendance to our Chapter Meetings where we discuss current issues, solutions, new technologies and new methodologies in the data center in addition to informal social networking events. Each summer we also host a golf tournament that typically sells out so please join us ! Our members support of these events fund our annual internship program and expose new students to the data center business.
If you are currently not a member, we welcome you to come to a meeting and check us out. We have a diverse group and we can always learn from your experiences and knowledge. If you are a member of our Chapter already, thank you for your support, and on behalf of our Board we hope to serve you proudly.
